Sevengill Shark Adventure
June 17 - 23, 2012
(7 day trip - 5 days diving)
- 4 Guests per trip -

We are inviting a small group of people to hit the coastal waters off La Jolla, California to seek out the elusive sevengill shark! This past September we spent a week searching for 9 species of sharks that make their homes in the waters around Southern California. Of the 9 sharks we were seeking - we found 6 of them. Three days were spent seeking out sevengill sharks in the kelp forests around La Jolla Cove. This of course was a long shot as these sharks can be very hard to find. However we found them on 2 of our three trips out there. This shark and those encounters were so much fun that we decided to dedicate an entire trip in pursuit of sevengills in the kelp forests around La Jolla Cove for the 2012 season.

THE PLAN ----

We will spend 5 days diving the kelp forests seeking out sevengills and soupfin sharks in the kelp forests around La Jolla Cove and some of the surrounding areas. We will be going out for 3 tank dives each day (our last day will only be a 2 tank dive) in pursuit of these sharks. In between dives we will also spend some time swimming La Jolla Shores to film/photograph leopard sharks and any other shark species we may find.

These coastal areas are very sharky and there are strong possibilites that we may also find; Tope (soupfin) sharks, leopard sharks, angel sharks, horn sharks, gray smoothhound, and possibly swell sharks.
