Sharks have a bad PR problem, and we are on a mission to share the shark's story. Sharks are in trouble, due to a high global demands for shark products. This increased fishing pressure has depleted many shark populations around the world, but how do you get people to ban together to help save sharks? Why would they want to? The general public believes that sharks are mindless monsters, terrors of the deep that just want to eat everything in their path. This information is wrong and couldn't be further from the truth. Sharks are the heros of our oceans and each and every shark is important to our oceans and our future.
Interaction is everything! And ourOne Million Minds Shark Awareness Program is designed as a Q and A session to help children and adults understand the secret world of sharks. The reality is most people do not know why we have sharks in our ocean, what roles they play and why accidents between people and sharks happen. Or the biggest secret of them all is that some sharks, like many animals, enjoy a nose rub and sometimes a belly scratch.
