Oceanic whitetips are the one shark every shark diver dreams of seeing. With their huge pectoral fins, their distinctive whitetip markings, and their nasty reputation...they are on the top of a very short must see-it list. Oceanic whitetips were once a commonly seen shark, but due to over fishing they have been reduced to small populations seen sporatically in different parts of the world. Kona, Hawaii, Africa, the Red Sea, and where we are going, the CAT ISLAND's in the Bahamas are a few of the places were they can be seen. So in 2009 we have put them on the list. We will be heading out to the C. This is an explt Islands in the Bahamas where the local fishermen are plagued with oceanics stealing their catches. And April is a good month to go chumming for these sharks, so if you up for this adventure... join us!
