I have been hearing about this place over the past few years. For years rumors about a spot where greenland sharks could be seen started to surface in the scientific community. Why these deep water sharks rise to these shallow diveable areas during the months of July and August in Canada is still unknown. I imagined that it was a fluke, anf those divers were just very lucky. I thought that maybe the sharks congregated here this year, but the following season they would congragate somewhere else. I was wrong, the sharks came back to the same spot the following year. So I kept my eye on the place. Finally some of our Pro shooter friends went out there and came back with mind blowing images of this extremely rare cold water shark. Then in 2007 our SDM staff photographer, Andy Murch came back with his amazing images. I decided it was time, this adventure needs to be opened up to the world... SDM readers need to go!
